Tuesday July 18th 6:30 PMJoin us and bring some friends to our summer family movie night on Tuesday, July 18th. We’ll start with pizza at 6:30 PM, and then our youngest members will watch and sing along with Encanto while the adults learn about Encanto and the Family of God by watching excerpts and discussing sacred story, hope, grief and compassion, grace, adaptive change, and reconciliation— all hidden (or not so hidden) themes found in Encanto. This beautiful and joyful “children’s” movie can help us think and talk about life’s challenges, expectations, sorrows, and hopes.
Wednesday August 2nd at 7:00 PM (Movie & Discussion)“Have a Little Faith,” by Mitch Albom (“Tuesdays with Morrie” author), tells the true story of an inner-city Detroit pastor and a suburban Rabbi who share a belief that there is a divine spark in everyone and that a single person can make a big difference in other’s lives as long as they have a little faith. In addition to reading the book, we’ll watch the feature film based on it and have discussion.
Wednesday August 23rd at 7:00 PMIn “What’s So Amazing About Grace?” best-selling Evangelical author Philip Yancey invites us to discover grace as we’ve never known it before: the most powerful force in the universe and our only hope for love and forgiveness.

“On Getting Out of Bed: The Burden and Gift of Living,” is a deeply personal essay in which the author, Alan Noble, considers the unique burden of everyday life in the modern world. Sometimes, he writes, the choice to carry on amid great suffering—to simply get out of bed—is itself a powerful witness to the goodness of life, and of God.
