Many of you may have been involved at one time or another in creating the mission and vision statements for an organization. When faithfully created and even more faithfully given proper attention and focus, these provide invaluable focus and clarity to the work of the organization, energize and unify its members, and guidance in prioritizing tasks and setting goals for the future.

As part of an extensive strategic planning effort (you’ll hear more about that in the coming weeks), the Vestry of St. Andrew’s has been working to create our mission and vision statements, and at last night’s Vestry meeting, they were approved.

Mission Statement

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church is a Christ-centered community welcoming and supporting all. We come together in love, faith, fellowship, and spiritual growth to make a difference in our lives and in the world.

Vision Statement

To be actively visible in our community, connecting people with Jesus and each other.

I’m very proud of the work the Vestry is doing, and excited about the future of St. Andrew’s as we come together in worship, discipleship, and fellowship, more inspired, energized, and galvanized in purpose than ever before.

God is at work in this place and in our lives!
